Moles are clusters of pigment-producing cells that can appear anywhere on the body.
They may be flat or raised and vary in colour, size, and texture.
Skin tags are soft, flesh-coloured growths that commonly develop in areas where skin rubs together, such as the neck, underarms, eyelids, and groin.
While most lesions are harmless, some growths should be evaluated to rule out skin cancer or other concerning changes.
A mole should be assessed if it changes in:
New moles appearing later in adulthood or rapidly changing lesions should also be examined.
Benign pigmented growths that may be removed for cosmetic or medical reasons.
Soft hanging growths often found in high-friction areas.
Small red vascular growths that commonly appear with age.
A physician examines the lesion and determines whether removal is appropriate and which technique is safest.
Depending on the lesion, removal may involve shaving, excision, cautery, or other minor procedural techniques.
Local anesthetic is typically used to maximize comfort during treatment.
Suspicious lesions may be sent for laboratory analysis when medically indicated.
Healing time depends on the size and location of the lesion removed.
Treated skin tags generally do not return, though new ones may develop elsewhere over time.
Any skin procedure can leave a scar, but techniques are selected to minimize visible scarring whenever possible.
Yes. If medically indicated, tissue may be sent for pathology analysis.

I was getting tired of seeing skin “barnacles” — medically known as seborrheic keratosis — on my temples, the unsightly non cancerous black or tan, slightly-raised growths which are the telltale signs of too much sun in an older adult. My family physician suggested I see a dermatologist and subsequently referred me to Dr. Eiman Nasseri. As someone who has white coat syndrome at the thought of a trip to a medical clinic, I was appreciative of how calm, relaxed and kind the young Dermatologist was. There was little physical discomfort during the procedure, which involved a local anathestetic to numb the area and electrosurgery. Within minutes, the lesions were gone and I was on my way. I was impressed not only by Dr. Nasseri’s skill and care but the efficiency and modernity of the clinic itself. I have no hesitation in highly recommending Healthy Skin Centre to others.
