HELP Pigment Treatment Program

Are you fed up by your excessive pigmentation? Pigmentation appears slowly over years and may appear mild at first but get darker as you age. It becomes noticeable from across the room and on zoom calls. Whether you suffer from mild or moderate pigmentation problems, Healthy Skin Centre has a solution for you. We can help you obtain clear, beautiful skin using our exclusive HELP PIGMENT program, designed and created by our very own Dr. Lili Nasseri.

What is Pigmentation?

Hyperpigmentation occurs when the skin produces excessive melanin, the pigment that gives skin its color. Melanin is produced by specialized cells in the skin called melanocytes. Excessive melanin formation on the skin creates spots or patches of skin that appear darker than surrounding areas. Hyperpigmentation can occur in small patches or very large areas depending on which factors are at play.

What Causes Pigmentation?

There are two common reasons why excessive melanin is produced by melanocytes: sun exposure (external factors) and hormonal exposure (internal factors). This excessive melanin and resulting pigmentation is not harmful, but it does affect the clarity of your skin, making it look splotchy and uneven. Pigmentation affects both men and women, and often makes people feel self-conscious.

The three most common types of hyperpigmentation are melasma, sunspots (also known as liver spots or solar lentigines), and post inflammatory pigmentation caused by acne and burns.

What is the HELP Pigment Treatment Program?

The HELP Pigment Treatment Program was developed exclusively for Healthy Skin Centre by Dr. Lili Nasseri, over years of careful study, to help patients treat their excessive pigmentation issues.

HELP stands for:
H – Hormonal Mediation
E – Exfoliation
L – Lightening
P – Prevention of future pigmentation and recurrence

Before and After

What Can I do to Reduce Pigmentation?

The most important factor in improving pigmentation is avoiding the sun. Wearing sunscreen daily is key– yes,  even on rainy days! Pigmentation can develop in hours to days, but once it’s there, it will take months to years to improve.

How is Pigmentation treated with the HELP Pigment Program?

At Healthy Skin Centre, we offer a variety of treatments to target pigmentation depending on your skin type and the extent of involvement.

The HELP Pigment treatment program will vary for each person depending on their skin type, their heritage and their lifestyle. It will also often change with the seasons, upcoming trips to sunny destinations, new prescriptions required for health reasons and patients and pregnancy.

The HELP Pigment treatment plan is customized quarterly for each patient to match their skin’s changing needs.  Every person is unique, so results will vary depending on the extent and depth of pigmentation.

We never seek perfection, but rather improvement. Compliance to the HELP Pigment Treatment Program and Prevention once optimal results are achieved, are the two most important factors in getting the best results for you.

Treatment options in the HELP PIGMENT TREATMENT program include:

  • Medical Grade Skincare
  • Bella MD Facials customized with Dr. Nasseri’s pre and post care serums
  • Collagen PIN Microneedling for post inflammatory hyperpigmentation from acne
  • Peels for Pigmentation
  • IPL Skin Rejuvenation combined with RF

After your one on one consultation with one of our skin care consultants, we will recommend a HELP Pigment Treatment Plan  that best suits you and your lifestyle. Our HELP Pigment Treatment program involves follow up every 3 months with one of our skin care consultant experts to ensure we keep one step ahead of your skin care needs and prevent future pigmentation  before it occurs.
